The view past our sliding glass doors is always beautiful, ever changing, and this time the cloud was the star. I’ve decided to continue with charcoal, PanPastel, and graphite for a while, on a good-sized (46″x28″) sheet of thick cotton paper that holds up well under the abuse of working and reworking, especially erasing.
Update January 7, 2022 — pleased that this piece was juried into the 2022 Pee Dee Regional Art Competition, on display in the FCM Waters Gallery, 135 South Dargan Street, Florence, South Carolina. The exhibition continued through Friday, April 8.
Update May 5, 2002 — Over Waties Island will be featured at City Gallery, Charleston, SC, in the 2022 Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition, May 27-June 12.
