Polly Turner lives at the Point in Cherry Grove, S.C., where her artwork creates a rich, cumulative portrait of local people, beaches, waterways, and wetlands. She works in digital photography, drawing, and painting in oil, acrylic, and gouache.

Polly received a BFA in painting and drawing from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia College of Art. She taught art at the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. Polly has received a Tiffany Grant, as well as five Best in Show awards (among many others) from the Myrtle Beach-based Seacoast Artists Guild and Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild in the categories of painting, drawing, and photography. Her large charcoal drawing “Over Waties Island” was awarded Best Drawing at the 2022 Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition at City Gallery in Charleston, S.C.
