In the Headlights

Love the deep, velvety blackness I’m getting from PanPastel plus the old charcoal sticks I’ve had around since art school, worked in many layers on cotton paper. This is a moment with Richard on the nighttime beach near our condo, lit by a vehicle’s headlamps. 30″ x 45″ unframed, 37.5″ x 52″ framed. To be exhibited at Artfields (Green Frog Social House), Lake City, S.C., April 22-30, 2022.
Update May 5, 2022 — Artfields was great fun! Here’s a video that gives a sense of this unique event that transforms many local shops, restaurants, banks and the like into art galleries.

    Polly,
Your work is stunning. You capture the spirit of the waves, nature and wildlife better than anyone. Such talent!
