Yesterday I brought in three paintings to hang at William H. Miller Studios & Fine Art, in time for the reception of the Summer Solstice Art Show. “Reflections” (acrylic on canvas, 36″ x 60″) depicts an evening walk on the beach past our condo. Sunsets here can be glorious, especially when reflected off the receding tide. The two other, smaller paintings I brought in (not for the Solstice show) are “By the Koi Pond” and “View from Lama’s House,” both oils painted from life at the Serenity Ridge Retreat Center in Shipman, Virginia, in 2011.

Also hanging in the Summer Solstice show are my pastel “View from the Path” and a little trifle, “Lifeguard & the Lady,” a photograph I took of two willing participants as I sunned in my beach chair with my zoom lens.
