Feeling honored that my painting “Night Heron” received second place this evening in the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild juried art exhibition. What a gorgeous show at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, curated and installed beautifully by Liz Miller so that every piece shines in the second floor galleries.

I’m also grateful that my photograph “Egret on the Swamp” was juried into the show and now hangs near my painting.

Congratulations to Best in Show winner Debanjana Bhattacharjee, Third Place Norman Veit, all honorable mentions, and the many other local artists whose strong work fills the galleries.

The exhibition opened today and runs through December 21. I hope you’ll stop by and enjoy this wonderful museum, just steps from the beach, while the show is on view.
